The US Supreme Court has been very active in the patent arena this term, and has issued several opinions on a broad range of patent issues. Among these is Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank, addressing the plurality (not majority) Federal Circuit opinion below. This presentation will focus not only on analysis of that Supreme Court opinion, but also on implications and practice tips for patent practitioners and litigators. There also will be discussion of the Supreme Court opinions in Limelight v Akamai (divided infringement) and Nautilus v Biosig Instruments (indefiniteness standard).
