A Supervisory Patent Examiner will lead a workshop explaining the various parts of a patent application. Attendees will learn about the formalities and requirements of drafting a patent application as well as common pitfalls. Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of the intellectual property system, and patents specifically. It is recommended that attendees take the previous course “Introduction to IP with an Emphasis on Patents” before taking this workshop.
