Program:
Corporations invest billions of dollars in R&D, but not all of the resulting innovation aligns with the corporate strategy. Licensing or selling the resulting IP rights are common ways to generate a return on the R&D investment. However, other creative deal structures such as joint ventures, or spin-outs can sometimes provide significantly higher long-term value and other additional strategic benefits, such as establishing footholds in new markets. Hear about recent transactions that included transfer of IP assets from senior executives.

Stephen Freedman, Vice President for Corporate Liaison and Ventures, Gladstone Institutes
Maital Rasmussen, Head of Marketing, Roche NAVIFY Diagnostics Information
Stefan Tamme, VP of IP Strategy & Licensing, Rambus Inc.
